Rockin' for Maddie
Thursday, July 30 - 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Arkansas School for the Deaf Parnell Gym.
Madison “Maddie” Edwards is a Sylvan Hills High School student and was one of the recent early July UALR/iTransition campers who has played the flute, but can no longer can hear it and needs to purchase a Saxophone in order to participate/contribute to a band. Music is obviously important to her and everyone who has any hearing. The $1,000 price of the Sax is out of her reach without fundraising and contributions. This is our chance to come together and make a “success story.” The Flyer itself tells the short story. ASD is allowing the use the old Parnell Hall gymnasium (with wooden floors) so it can be felt by those who are hearing impaired. It will probably be loud, so come ready to dance and enjoy yourself and visit friends. The cost of admission is $10 for ages 6 and up, and $5 for ages 5 and under. Please pass it on to your friends - we want the deaf and hearing community to rock on with us!!! If you are not able to attend but wish to help, donations are welcome.
